A VALUABLE LESSON
I have been a Christian for many years.
For most of those years I have been sitting in my easy chair.
Holding everything the Lord has done for me in my heart.
But I got too comfortable.
I was not sharing with others what the Lord has done for me.
For the last 2 years I started seeking more of Him.
It is not always comfortable.
It is a time of learning and growing in the Lord.
He never gives us more than we can handle.
Most of my life I have sat back and just listened.
Very seldom did I contribute to the conversation.
When I did open up and speak it was because someone had hurt me
badly.
Of course then I was called a trouble maker and should have kept my
mouth shut.
So I went back to just listening.
But the Lord is changing that.
I speak out in meetings when the Holy Spirit leads me to do so.
My heart goes out to those who are sitting in their easy chair.
I started worrying about Christians who were not seeking more of the
Lord.
I was worryuing about so many people that were hurting spiritually I
started having stomache problems.
But you know if you worry you are sinning.
I was living in sin worrying all that time.
That was a rude awakening.
Here I thought I was doing okay.
In a recent meeting I was given a word to stop worrying.
That I was to pray for the people and plant seeds and then give it to
God.
God is capable of doing what is needed to wake the people up.
I was taking on all those burdens they were carrying.
No wonder I started having stomache problems.
Then God told me to stop listening to man.
God said listen to Me.
Then He told me He wanted to take me to a new level in Him.
All I could say was WOW!!!!!
God is so good.
Even though I had been sinning, with all the worrying, He still wants
to use me.
The lesson I will go through will not be easy.
But I am here to tell you it is so worth it.
To be closer to the Lord.
To climb higher up that mountain.
Yes, knowing at the top of that mountain is where the Lord will be.
Has God got a higher calling for you?
You will never know if you continue to sit in that easy chair.
You have to give more to the Lord.
You have to open yourself to the Lord so He can work through you.
But be prepared to be called on the carpet, so to speak, when you
make mistakes.
All of us tend to dive right in.
But maybe God wants us to get our feet wet first.
With each lesson you walk into deeper water.
The road has been long, but even when God has to correct me, and I
have enjoyed every step.
Knowing that the Lord is with me.
Guiding me to the place I need to be.
If I fall He will catch me.
My prayer is that more Christians get out of that rocking chair that is
going no where.
Put your running shoes on and start walking with the Lord.
Let Him lead you on that path that will win lost souls.
I will be praying for all of you who read this.
I am also asking you to pray for me that I will continue to seek more
of the Lord and advance up the mountain where the Lord is
waiting.
PRAISE GOD THE FATHER, JESUS OUR SAVIOR, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
THAT LIVES WITHIN ALL CHRISTIANS.
