Have you ever known someone that hears only what they want to hear?
I believe as humans that we're all a little guilty of that.
When I was a kid my mom would say you can go to the movies if you get your chorses done.
Oh, I could hear you can go to the movies just fine.
If you get your chores done never made it to my ears.
I'd say I didn't hear you say that.
Husbands and wives do that to each other all the time.
Yet someone can whisper something and we hear every word.
Now as a Christian I pray that I will hear when Jesus calls on me.
Or even if a sister or brother who is crying out for help or need someone to pray with them.
Sometimes the Lord just barely taps on the door to see if we are paying attention.
If we don't answer He will knock a little louder.
If we still don't answer He will knock real loud and finally get our attention.
I pondered over that.
Why do we do that?
As Christians we love spending time with the Lord.
But sometimes we are a little afraid of what He will want us to do.
The fear of dissappointing the Lord when He has never let me down.
A fear that I might not be able to do the work He wants me to do.
Those fears are so wrong.
They show a lack of faith within us.
God has made us many promises.
One of them is He will never give us more than we can handle.
The other thing that He tells us in all things are possible through Christ.
Keep praying that you will hear Him call even if He just whispers.
The Lord loves us so much.
I love the Lord with all my heart.
The Lord gave His life for us.
We should be willing to do the same for Him.
All Christians need to pray that we will stand firm in Christ.
No matter what the evil one throws at us.
We have to listen for the Lord to call us.
It could be that we need to go somewhere to witness to someone.
It could make a difference whether someone is headed for heaven or hell.
We need to learn to be obediant to the Lord.
Think of the Christians as Gods army.
We have to obey orders.
Jesus is our general.
When the general speaks to us we need to listen up and follow His orders.
Jesus loves us and would never do anything to hurt us.
There is so much work that needs to be done.
The lost need our help to lead them to the Lord.
We are so close to the end of times.
So listen up Christians.
When the Lord calls your name and gives you something to do.
Just get it done.
We don't have time to waste.
PRAISE GOD THE FATHER, JESUS OUR SAVIOR, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
THAT LIVES WITHIN ALL CHRISTIANS.
