SOME GET AND SOME GIVE
Not so long ago I heard someone say that the churches aren't doing
their job.
In some aspects I have to agree with that statement.
They are suppose to teach all the scriptures.
Not just the ones that make everyone feel good.
There are warnings in the scriptures because God wanted us to be
prepared for the days ahead of us.
They also warn us of things we should not do if we want to enter
Gods Kingdom.
Some churches are afraid to preach those things because they might
offend someone.
I wonder do they ever think about offending God?
It is not a good thing to deceive the people.
God is offended by such teachings or actually not teaching all the
things we need to know in order to enter Gods Kingdom.
Then they are suppose to help those in need.
But they keep the money to build big fancy buildings to worship in.
Church has become a big business and that is not what the Lord has
asked for.
They do some charitable work but not near enough.
Then there are the people that go from church to church for what
they can get.
If they need their power bill paid they run to all the churches month
after month.
Always wanting something but not giving anything.
When they finally say we don't have the funds they bad mouth the
church.
What is the church building for?
Who is it for?
The church building is Gods house where we go to praise and worship
the Lord.
We bring our offerings whether it is money, a song, a word, or a
reading.
The church building is for the church.
You ask what are you saying?
The church is you and me.
We are the Body of Christ and we, the church, need to seek the
truth in the scriptures.
We go to Gods house and offer Him gifts that come from our hearts.
We sing to the Lord.
We praise and worship Him.
We honor God for who He is, not because we want to be blessed.
I have heard some say God hasn't done anything for me lately.
But if you had food on the table, a roof over your head, clothes on
your body, and shoes on your feet those are all blessings.
If you are breathing , walking, talking, listening, seeing, and are in
pretty good health those are all blessings.
If you have children that is the most precious gift God gives us you
are deffinately blessed.
When God allows us to be in His presence that is the greatest
blessing you can ever ask for it is absolutely awesome.
You were a sinner just like me and God gave His only Son so we could
live for eternity in His Kingdom.
Because Jesus paid the price for all the sins of the world when He was
beaten, stripped of His clothing, and a crown of thorns placed on
His head, and nailed to the cross and died.
Three days later Jesus rose from the dead.
You see Jesus was sinless and Jesus Christ defeated death for us.
All you have to do is believe in Him that Jesus is Gods only Son and
He died for our sins and ask Jesus into your heart.
By grace we are saved through faith.
God has given us everything and continues to bless us.
We owe God a debt we will never be able to repay.
When are we, the church (Christians). going to start giving back to
Him?
When we seek the lost and let the Lord work through us to bring them
into the light it will bless God to see His Kingdom being increased.
Many times I have been in a bind like most Christians.
Put your faith to work and wait on the Lord to supply what you need.
Don't run to man and expect help all the time.
Sometimes the Lord will use a person to supply what your need is.
But know that if the Lord hadn't put it in his heart to help he probably
would not have helped.
As humans, (our flesh), is very selfish and don't always think about
others and their needs.
My prayer is who ever reads these words, the Lord gave me, will
remember that they are the church, the Body of Christ and will
take these words to heart and start giveing back to God what
He deserves and stop being someone that is only there for the
blessings.
