At one time or another we all face the disappointments in life.
Some of them are big deals and some of them are small.
Big or small they are hard to take.
I've thought about some of the disappointments in my life.
The Bible tells us that God is in control.
God knows what is best for us.
As humans we have a lot of wants.
God supplies all of our needs but not all of our wants.
Our biggest disappointments are in people.
They make promises and don't keep them.
We get angry and sometimes it is really hard to forgive them.
The Bible also tells us that we have to forgive others.
If we don't forgive others God will not forgive us.
I thought about all the times I disappointed God.
We can really have our hearts set on something.
At the last minute everything falls apart.
Then you hear later that there had been an accident on the road you would have been traveling on.
You see God knew that there was going to be an accident.
Other times we pray for something.
The Bible says where two or more gather and pray the prayer will be answered.
You see sometimes the answer is no.
Sometimes we have to wait on Gods timing.
Being impatient humans we get disappointed.
Sometimes we get angry with God.
Then I think of the times I had to disappoint my son by saying no.
I didn't say no just to be mean.
I did it because there was a danger I would have put my son in.
God will not say no to one of His children just to be mean either.
We just need to suck it up and face that there will be disappointments in life.
There is no need getting angry or yelling at someone or get angry at God.
For heaven sakes forgive those who disappoint you.
I am sure they didn't do it to hurt you.
Remember you probably disappointed someone along the way too.
Praise our Heavenly Father, Jesus our savior, and the Holy Spirit.
