THE FIVE MINUTE CHRISTIAN
When disaster strikes like an earthquake, flood, tornado, or a huricane
all the people cry out to God.
They go on TV and radio and talk about God and how much they need
Him.
All the churches banning together and sending money and help.
They go to the news paper and ask why the government isn't helping
more.
Men from preachers to truck drivers get on the news reports and tell
about all that they are doing to help.
Companies send millions of dollars in materials to rebuild and double
the prices on the building materials.
Some of the people are helping from their hearts and it is a good thing
when you help others because your heart goes out to them.
The people still are crying out to the Lord but only if there is a
reporter there to see or a camera is rolling.
When the story dies down and people get board with it you only hear
Gods name on a small portion of those who had been using Gods
name to promote themselves.
You see most of those people weren't seeking Gods help but mans
help.
They made it into a money making project.
Not all people were helped just the big shots in town.
In a matter of weeks the stores, bars, and the elite in town had their
houses built and their businesses too.
The poor suffer much longer.
They are given temporary housing that the rich would turn their noses
up at.
The poor are thrown crumbs and expected to be thankful.
A lot were thankful for what they received.
When they would complain the others would say they those people
just want something for nothing.
Then things go back to the way they were before the disaster.
They pushed God to the side when they can't get anything else from
the government by using His name.
The Christians that go in to help think they are doing right and they
are as long as they are doing it for the right reason.
Christians need to be witnessing to the people that have lost every-
thing.
If they are going to give they need to make sure that the money goes
to those who need it.
Not the rich that are getting richer by taking advantage of the poor.
Our job is to show the love of the Lord through us to all the people.
Five minute Christians aren't seeking the Lord to serve Him.
They want mans approval and to increase their god money and
prestige.
Don't be fooled by someone who calls on God while the cameras are
rolling.
If you go into an area that has extensive damage seek those who
aren't getting any help.
Show all the people the Lords love that is in your hearts.
With the other blessings water, food, clothing, etc look for those who
aren't getting any help.
After the Oklahoma City bombing and 9/11 the people cried out to
God.
Once the clean up was done and all the people collected the money
coming in and insurance policies collected on forgot all about God.
Not all of them mind you but many returned to their former life and
took control of their lives or so they think.
No more thanks were sent up to God.
A few are serving the Lord still to this day.
Many took their free will and forgot about God.
I watched a video the other day it was Dedication to 9/11 Ray Boltz
sang the song the Anchor Holds.
I cried throughout that video.
How have we gotten so calus that such things don't matter after a
months or even years.
The Lord said, they just turned away from Me.
Not all as I have said before but with all those who lost their lives
these things should still hurt.
My prayer is that all who read these words, the Lord gave me, will look
within themselves. Have you forgotten all those who lost their
lives? I pray not. When there is a disaster remember to witness
with the love of God in your hearts and seek those who aren't
getting much help but a few bones. The time is coming when we
will have to be there for the lost and hurting.
God bless you and your family, may the Lord keep you close to Him.
PRAISE GOD THE FATHER, JESUS OUR SAVIOR, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
THAT LIVES WITHIN ALL CHRISTIANS.
