For many years I thought revival was for the Lost Souls.
The old tent revivals where you (Christians) brought those who did
not know the Lord.
They would listen to the word being preached and give their hearts
to the Lord.
The Lord has been opening my eyes to the real reason for revival.
So I looked up the word revival.
This is what I found.
A renewed religious interest and an often highly emotional evangelists
meeting or a series of meetings.
I know that I was not the only one who has been decieved about who
revival was for.
So I pondered over the definition of a while.
I asked the Lord, "If revival is for those who already believe in you
how does this help the Lost Souls?
The Lord gave me an answer really quickly.
Remember when you were first saved?
Actually born again is a better word because you felt like a completely
different person.
You were filled with the Lords love, joy, peace, and hope for better
days ahead.
I don't know about you but my heart was on fire for the Lord.
I wanted to shout it from the foof tops what the Lord had done for
me.
Everyone I talked to I wanted to tell them about the change the Lord
made in me.
I wanted everyone that I met to know what the Lord could do for
them.
But then being a baby in the Lord it was really easy for the enemy
to discourage me from doing the Lords work.
Family members came against me.
I was made fun of.
As the days, weeks, months, and years went by the fire had gone
out and only a few sparks of the fire in my heart remained.
You can go to church Sunday morning, Sunday night, and on
Wednesdays.
It's good to hear the word.
You can have a daily devotional and read the scriptures.
You can pray in the morning and before you go to bed.
You are being a good Christian right?
I hate to burst your bubble but you are not being a good Christian
if that is all you do.
They are all good things but you just got comfortable in your easy
chair.
If you only use that information for yourself you missed the mark.
The things the Lord has taught you were to be shared with the
Lost Souls.
That is what revival is for.
To put paper and kindeling on the fire so the blazing fire is back in
you.
The fire others see in you will draw them to the revival and more will
come into the light.
Don't worry about what man thinks of you.
If they call you a Jesus freak, praise the Lord because that is
exactly what I am.
And what does that make man a Satan freak?
Which do you want?
I'll take Jesus every time.
Get out of the easy chair and share what the Lord has done for you.
Yes revivals will draw the lost in but it is to get the Christians on
fire for the Lord again.
I know I want the fire to spread like a prairie fire and set all Christians
on fire for the Lord like when they were first saved.
Pray for revival to start in you that it will be as contagious as the flu
bug and effect all who come in contact with you.
Revival is coming!!!
Ask the Lord to prepare you for the next move of God.
Wake up don't let the enemy steal the joy of the Lord from you.
The enemy is a liar, thief, and he has come to distroy Gods children.
Get on board the train that leads to Jesus.
My prayer is that who ever reads this message from God the sparks
will ignite the fire in you.
That you will share what the Lord has done for you with the Lost
souls.
PRAISE GOD THE FATHER, JESUS OUR SAVIOR, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
THAT LIVES WITHIN ALL CHRISTIANS.
