GOSSIP AND JUDGEMENT
Do you know what gossip is?
I looked it up an it means: Rumour or report of an intimate nature.
Are you gossipy?
I looked at gossipy it means: Full of or given to gossip.
Did you know that gossip is a sin?
God doesn't approve of gossiping!!!!
Not only is gossip a sin but it is usually at the best half truths.
You see a tattoo, oh did you see that they belonged to a motorcycle
gang.
Gossip that is all.
They were foolish for a moment an had that tattoo put on.
With your tongue flapping you have just managed to tarnish that
persons character.
It was none of your business to begin with.
That was between God and that person.
God did not need your help.
I am sure the Lord didn't say go talk about that person they have a
tattoo and I have said not to do that.
Or maybe that girl that was pregnant.
Oh look she is having a baby and not even married.
She must sleep around with anyone and everyone..
Gossip again, maybe that girl was rapped.
If she wasn't maybe she thought they were getting married and the
young man got scared and took off.
At any rate this was none of your business.
God knows what happened.
God is helping her through her pregnancy.
There are several things about gossip that are sins.
For one thing you are lying becuse you don't know the whole story.
For another thou shall not bear false witness against you brother or
sister.
You didn't know what you were talking about.
Also you took it upon yourself to judge them.
It is Gods place to judge.
Now you will be judged by God.
Jesus said a tongue is like a double edged sword.
The people you talk about could be hurt very mucy by your wagging
tongue.
Jesus told the group of people who were about to stone a woman for
adultry, he who has not sinned let him cast the first stone.
When Jesus turned around all the people had left.
Jesus also said why are you trying to remove a splinter from your
brothers eye when you have a plank in your own eye.
You see we have all sinned.
What gives us the right to talk about someone elses sin?
If you have to talk about sins tell about your own.
Your brother or sisters sin is none of your business.
God doesn't need or appreciate your help in these matters.
You will be judged harshly for talking and accusing your brother or
sister.
We have all been guilty of this at one time or another.
It is something we all have to ask God to help us with the sin of
being gossipy.
Sometimes the words of the Lord can be harsh.
But I am sure He gets tired of us doing something that is so hurtful
when we should be showing Gods love to all people Christians or
a lost soul.
My prayer is that all who read the Lords words, He had me write
down, will really make you think before you engage yourself in a
group of gossipy brothers or sisters.
We all need to watch what we say and walk away if someone starts
to gossip about someone.
