THANKSGIVING
What does Thanksgiving mean to you?
Most will say it is a time for family and friends to get together.
A turkey with all the trimmings.
Some have each person say what they are thankful for.
Most will say their children, their jobs, friends, and so on.
But the thing that we should be thankful for is that Jesus allowed man
to nail Him to the Cross with all the sins of the world on Him.
We have all fallen short of Gods Kingdom.
We have all sinned.
Jesus defeated death because He had no sin Satan could not keep
Him in hell.
For those who believe Jesus is the Son of God and we walk in His
ways we will have eturnel life in the Kingdom of God.
There are many people who don't have much family.
If they do they are thousands of miles away.
There are people who have no turkey with all the trimmings.
Their friends have family so they will not be sharing the day with family and friends.
Does that mean that they have nothing to be thankful for?
Absolutely not.
They have more blessings than those who have everything their
hearts desire and more money they can spend in their life time.
But they don't know the Lord.
To all who are looking in at them they think they have it all.
They are empty inside so they just keep buying things to fill the
void spot inside.
The poor who know the Lord have much to be thankful for.
A bowl of potato soup is a feast to them and they praise the Lord for
it.
They, (husband & wife), sit and praise the Lord that He brought them
together.
They spend Thanksgiving with the Lord.
Oh my, I say to you how much better does it get than that?
So as you are sitting down to eat, whether it is a husband & wife or
26 people, invite the Lord to join you.
Count the blessings that can not be purchased from any store.
Those are your true blessings.
Salvation, love, joy, peace and hope that tells you things will get
better.
Pray for those who don't know Jesus.
For the blessings they are missing because money can not buy what
the Lord gives us.
Pray that someone will show them the way to the light where our true
blessings come from.
There are people that are homeless.
They take life one day at a time.
Most of them don't know the Lord either.
They are truly alone.
Dispare surrounds them and there is no hope for a better days ahead.
Pray for them.
If you are able to go out on any day and seek a homeless person.
Sometimes they won't accept the help but try to plant a seed.
Continue to pray for them and give them to God.
Be thankful for the right reason.
If not for God you would not be here to enjoy that turkey.
Thank God for loving you even before you were born.
My prayer is that all who read the words the Lord has given me will
remember where their true blessings come from.
God bless all of you and yours.
PRAISE GOD THE FATHER, JESUS OUR SAVIOR, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
THAT LIVES WITHIN ALL CHRISTIANS.
