NO PROMISE OF TOMORROW
God gives us no promise of tomorrow or even 5 minutes from now.
We must be ready for life as we know it, could end any minute.
The shooting that took place at the college in Illinois yesterday is a
perfect example.
I didn't know any of them but I'm sure they all thought they were just
beginning their adult life.
I have no idea if they had Jesus in their hearts.
I pray that they did.
We all need to keep those in prayer that were shot or killed and their
family and friends.
James 4:13-14 says, "Come now you who say, today or tomorrow we
will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell
and make a profit where as you do not know what will happen
tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears
for a little time and then vanishes away."
It isn't bad to plan but what you are doing is leaving God out of your
plans.
We have to make sure we are in Gods will.
James 4:15 says, "Instead you ought say, If the Lord wills , we shall
live and do this or that."
The Lord knows where we should be and what we should be doing.
We have to be in the Lords will so we can let Him work throuh us to
lead the lost souls into the light.
We are of no use if we want to just go here and there with no worries
about what the Lord wants.
James 4: 16-17 says, "But now you boast in your arrogance. All such
boasting is evil. Therefore, to him who knows to do good and
does not do it, to him it is sin.
What ever we do it must be done in faith.
Just because someone else is doing something, that you believe is
is wrong, but you go ahead and do it, it is a sin if you don't do it
in faith. (Romans 14: 12-23)
If we listen to the Holy Spirit you know what we should do or not do.
To treat others with love and respect.
To always put God first.
To seek His will.
Then follow what you are suppose to do.
But if you go against what the Holy Spirit is telling you to do then that
is a sin.
Always go to the Lord and ask Him what He wants you to do.
Ask Him to open the door that will lead you to where you need to be.
Do not cater to your flesh and do things on a whim leaving God out of
your plans.
My prayer is that who ever reads these words, the Lord gave me, will
always ask the Lord about your plans. Ask Him if it will be in His
will. If not that you will drop it and ask Him what He wants you to
do. To open a door to where He wants you and to be doing.
God bless you and your family, may the Lord keep you close to Him.
PRAISE GOD THE FATHER, JESUS OUR SAVIOR, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
THAT LIVES WITHIN ALL CHRISTIANS.
