TAKE INVENTORY
When you buy a business you have to check the inventory.
You have to stay on top of what you have in stock.
If you don't you will run out of things that are needed.
Yet you can't order too much of something that you don't sell either.
Now they have the cash registers that every time you sell an item it
is deducted from the inventory.
But once a year they still have to do a complete inventory by count-
ing every item in stock.
It will show them how far off they are between the paper work and
the actual counting of items.
It gives them an idea how much is going out of the store without
being paid for.
I have worked places where they have surprise inventory.
When was the last time you took a spiritual inventory?
Are you in the Lords will?
The last time you helped someone in need what was your motivation
behind it?
Did you do it so you would get recognition for helping them?
If so that will be your reward the recognition you received from man.
When I write these words I don't do it to be recognized.
For one thing they are not my words but the Lords words.
He gets all the glory.
I am doing this writing because the Lord has chosen me to do it.
But also because my desire is that through the Lords word they are
helping others to see how much the Lord loves them.
Jesus is knocking on our hearts.
Giving us every opportunity to surrender to Him and live in His ways.
He is also trying to draw us closer to Him by showing us the error of
our ways.
Also to prepare us for the days ahead.
Things will get hard on Christians in the days not so far away.
So in order to be as close to the Lord as possible take inventory of
your spiritual well being.
Are the works you are doing being done with the right motives?
Are you in the Lords will?
Are you looking for the approval of man or the Lord?
With the gifts the Lord has given you are you taking the glory for
yourself or giving it to the Lord?
Are you walking in the ways of the Lord?
Are you seeking the Lord daily?
My prayer is that who ever reads these words, the Lord has given me,
will take inventory of your spirit often and if something isn't right
then ask the Lord to help you change.
