HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE YOUR CHILDREN
When our children are born we just can't stop loving on them.
I promised my son, before he could understand, that he would have all
the things I didn't have growing up.
What I had on my mind was material things.
Oh how wrong I was.
At first I bought things for him by the truck load.
I didn't know the Lord then.
Christmas was rediculous.
My husband was jealous of the attention I gave our son.
So he was always hard on our son.
When my son was 3 years old I gave my heart to Jesus.
The one thing that I had been doing right was teaching him
responsibility with chores he could handle.
Like picking up his toys.
But after Jesus came into my life I realized thet I had been trying
to buy his love.
Jesus taught me what real love was.
Yes I loved my son before.
But now I wanted him to know what love really is.
I wanted him to know Jesus.
I wanted him to live for Jesus and not to look at me as his life line.
It is not all the material stuff.
When he got in trouble in school I didn't make excuses for him.
He soon found that if he was in trouble at school he was at home
too.
That misbehaving when I was not around was something that would
not be tolerated.
I'm sure you have heard someone say the teacher doesn't like my
child so she picks on him.
When they fight it is well the kids all pick on him so he has to do
something.
This kind of behavior from a parent is not healthy for their child.
When you do this you are showing your children that you will get them
out of anything.
It also teaches them to manipulate others when they find themself
in a place they would rather not be.
Before you know what happened they're getting into real bad things
that could put them in prison.
You never made them pay the consequences for their actions.
When they were teenagers they told you how things were going to
be.
You just can't figure out why they are the way they are not listening
to you or anyone else in authority.
If you are in this situation look in the mirror and say you are the one
that encouraged this kind of behavior.
Do not continue to defend them when they do wrong.
Give them back to God.
God will get their attention.
But you have to stay out of Gods way.
I started teaching my son about God at age 3.
If not for God my son would be a real mess.
He would have been in prison or worse.
All I can say is get out of Gods way and let Him do what needs to be
done.
Pray for your children in earnest.
Continue to love them and tell them you love them no matter what
kind of trouble they are in.
God never stops loving us.
But He also doesn't condon the sins we commit.
He will forgive us if we repent and ask for forgiveness.
If we continue to act and commit the same sin He will turn away from
us.
Its not that He doesn't love us but He can not tolerate sin and we
we were not listening to Him about changing our ways.
Without God a time will come that you will be broken and not be able
to handle the mess you have made.
When you come back to God He will welcome you with open arms.
Your life will change.
So will your childrens lives.
My son was so angry because of the way his dad treated him.
He told me once that at one point he had contemplated murder.
I am so thankful for what God has done for my son.
God got hold of him and turned his life around.
Now my son is counseling kids that are harboring the same kind of
anger he did.
God is so amazing!!!
Let God show you and your children what true love is.
It is not things.
It is not getting your kids out of trouble.
It is alll about what is in our hearts.
God is love.
If you have God in your heart you know how wonderful and powerful
love truly is.
When you are broken God will come into your heart and fix the
brokeness.
God will do the same for your children.
So don't hinder God from doing the same marvelous work in your
children.
If you bail your kids out of everything they will always come to you
instead of coming to the Lord.
You will loose your kids forever.
If they don't ask Jesus into their hearts they will be condemed to hell
for eternity.
I pray that you will want them to spend eternity in the Kingdom of
God.
That will only happen if they ask Jesus into their hearts and they
walk in the ways of the Lord.
My prayer is that all who read these words the Lord gave me is that
they will reach your hearts and that you will realize how much
He wants all of His children to spend eternity with Him.
There is no greater love than Gods love for all of His children.
