LISTEN TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
When we first give our hearts to Jesus we are on fire for the Lord.
The Holy Spirit enters into us as we are praying the sinners prayer if
we are truly seeking the Lord.
The Lord sees within us to our true feelings.
We, (our bodys), are the temple where the Holy Spirit resides.
In the beginning the Holy Spirit will try to speak to us.
Some people call it their conscience.
It is something that we must all learn to do.
The enemy will also speak to you.
That is why we need to be able to distingquish between the Lord and
the enemy.
At first you are confussed.
But if what you think your spirit is telling you something that would
harm you or someone else, it is not from the Lord.
The Lord will always encourage you to keep learning more about Him.
The Lords love for you is so great that no other can love you as
much.
As a young Christian it is hard to comprehend anyone loving you that
much.
If you stumble and fall the Lord will reach down and pick you up.
You will feel the peace come over you.
You will feel His love fill your heart.
Just reach out to Jesus in prayer an ask for forgiveness.
Repent and try not to do it again.
Don't look back because you have been forgiven.
It is when you have been tempted with a former sin and you give in
is when the enemy will try to pull you away from Jesus.
The enemy is the one that tempted you to begin with.
Then he steps up and tells you that you are a hypocrite and can't go
back to Jesus.
I was in that place a few times.
Every Christian I know has been there.
If you hear anything that takes you away from the Lord it is the
enemy talking not the Holy Spirit.
God is love so He will never make you think or feel like you are a lost
cause.
Also anything that the Holy Spirit tells you will line up with scriptures
in the Bible.
The other thing that you have to watch out for is your flesh, (your
own opinion).
We are very eager to please the Lord when we first give our hearts
to Jesus.
So you see someone who needs the Lord and you think that is what
the Lord wants is for you to witbness to them.
The thing is you don't know enough and it will come to nothing.
Some will get discouraged and think that God doesn't want to use
them.
But actually it was you that jumped the gun and tried to do something
that you had not been trained for.
The Lord teaches us and then tests us but He will never give us more
than we can handle.
It took me a long time to recognize when the Holy Spirit was talking
to me.
But I finally got there.
Sure sometimes I still make mistakes and will until the Lord calls me
home.
I ask for forgiveness and move forward.
We are so impatient at least most of us are.
If you think that the Holy Spirit is telling you to do something pray
about it.
Ask the Lord to confirm what you think He is telling you.
Just don't give up.
Keep trying and you will all of a sudden realize that you can tell the
difference between God, flesh, and the enemy.
My prayer is that who ever reads the Lords words will be encouraged
that yes the Holy Spirit does speak to us and leads us on the path
to the Lord.
