NEVER SAY NEVER
Have you ever said I would never do such and such?
At the time you said it you believed what you had said.
But not long after you said it you would find yourself in a situation
that had you doing what you said you would never do.
Sometimes I would thinik why would I do that when I said I'd never do
it?
When we say we'd never do something it is like we think that we are
in control of our lives.
Just maybe it is God reminding us that we are not in control He is.
So He puts us in a situation to show us just how weak we are that we
can't back up the words we spoke out.
When Jesus was arrested and taken away Peter said he would never
denie Jesus.
Jesus told Peter he would denie Him 3 times before the rooster
crowed.
That is exactly what happened.
At a prayer meeting we had a discussion on the tribulation.
A brother said he would never take the mark.
But how do we know what we would do?
The only way is with the Lords help.
If we were capable of doing it right Jesus would not have had to die
on the cross, rise again in 3 days, and then ascent into heaven.
We are weak to resist the temptations that are put in front of us.
I find that if I say never is when it is put to the test.
I have failed the test many times.
The Lord is the only one who can say never and mean what He says.
Only with the Lords help can we follow through with a never.
We can't get so over confident that we think we don't need any help.
When we do that is when we are in for a big fall that usually hurts.
Besides that kind of behavior doesn't glorify the Lord.
If we don't seek the Lord for what we need we are no different than
a non believer.
The Lord wants us to depend on Him to do the right thing.
To trust Him for all things.
That is one way in which we can show our love for Him.
When we ask for strength to get through a situation He will be there.
The alcoholic that says I'll never take another drink is in trouble unless
they seek the Lords help.
The drug addict will have a hard time if they don't seek the Lords
help.
The world offers all kinds of things that can keep you in bondage.
The Lord doesn't want His children in bondage to anything.
Once you are in bondage you realize that you should never do it
again.
Seek the Lord and He will help you.
Ask for help from your heart.
No one can help, not even Jesus, if you don't want to get rid of what
has you in bondage.
My prayer is that who ever reads these words the Lord gave me will
always seek the Lord for help in all hard situations, and trust Him
to help you.
