YOU CAN NOT BUT GOD CAN
I was witnessing to a woman today.
The Lord put the words in me to speak to her.
My spirit was crying out to her.
She is having problems with her 2 teenage boys.
She kept saying I can't make them mind.
When they were younger she didn't make them mind.
Now she doesn't understand why the won't listen.
She never taught them to respect their elders.
Never taught them right from wrong.
She said when they argue with her she just tells them to do what
they want to do.
When we hung up I prayed for her family.
She has been on my mind all day.
She claims to be a Christian because she goes to church once in
while.
But her works show differently.
Jesus said you will know our brothers and sisters by the fruits they
bare.
She had said at one point that God didn't have enough time to help
her.
Some will use that as an excuse.
The one thing she did say that rang true was I can't do it.
You and I can't do it on our own.
When you raise your children look to the scriptures in Proverbs and
the lessons are clear on how to raise them.
Anything we try to do by the worlds standards will come to nothing.
But if we do it Gods way and seek Him in all things in your life it will
go a lot smoother.
I am not just talking about raising our children, but in our jobs,
purchasing your home, car, and so on.
Anything that is a concern of yours it also concerns God.
God is never to busy to listen to you.
Someone told me as a new Christian that you should never ask for
something for yourself.
For years I never asked for anything for myself.
That was total non sense.
God gives us all our needs but He also wants us to ask for what we
need.
If you remember this one word I heard a preacher give he said, I am
nothing and Jesus is everything, you will learn to seek Him in all
things.
The only good in me is what Jesus does through me.
So how do we make others believe that we need to seek God in all
of our concerns?
Basicly we don't.
We tell others about Jesus and plant the seeds.
Then we pray for them and leave them in Gods capable hands.
We continue to pray.
In this day and age I can't imagine living without having the Lord to
turn to.
See for yourself and read the Bible.
If you don't understand pray that God will give you the wisdom to
to understand.
We get into trouble when we let our flesh make our decisions.
Our free will gets us in so much trouble.
We make a bad decision and end up paying the consiquences.
You can't blame anyone but ourselves.
It is so easy to blame someone else because of the choice we made.
Some people blame God.
God is a loving God and He will never put us in harms way.
Please do not kid yourself by thinking you are a Christian just because
you go to church once in a while.
Even Satan knows there is a God.
He knows that Jesus is Gods only Son.
Satan is definitely not going to Heaven!!!
When you ask Jesus into your heart, and mean what you say, you are
a differant person.
That is why they call it born again.
You won't find the things of the world near as enticing as you did
before.
You will desire to be in the Lords will.
You will want to serve Him any way He wants you to.
You will want to give up the things that used to tempt you.
Your time with the Lord becomes important to you.
As you grow in Him you trust Him more and more.
Some grow faster than others but that is okay.
God will place you where you need to be so you can be fed spiritual
food and grow more in Him.
The Lord had me doing nothing but praying.
Until I was ready He just had me praying.
I asked a sister in the Lord, why all He had me do was pray?
She told me that prayer wariors were a very important part of the
body of Christ.
The closer I got to the Lord I wanted to do more.
I wanted more of Jesus.
That is when I started writing.
If I had tried to do something on my own it never would have got off
the ground.
We all need to be patient and let God decide where He wants to use
us.
I can't do anything on my own.
Would you go to your boss and say it is time for me to move up into
the forman position?
Of course you wouldn't.
They don't like to be told how to run their business.
God won't let us make demands on Him either.
He knows when we are ready.
He won't give you something to do you can't handle.
God loves us so much and He wants us to know that He is there to
help us when ever we need Him.
He is never to busy when we need Him.
He wants us to know that He wants all parents to teach our children
in His ways.
He wants us to know that the young people need something to look
forward to.
That the young people are searching for answers and it is up to the
parents to teach them.
The world offers them alcohol, drugs, pornography, and permiscuous
behavior.
All of these things can only lead to trouble and sometimes death.
No parent wants that for their children.
My friends, the Lord loves you and He wants us to go to Him for all of
the things that concern us.
Don't ever think God doesn't want to hear about your problems.
He is waiting for you to remember that He is there for you.
He knows that we can't do anything on our own but wants you to
know He can and will help you.
My prayer is that all who read these words, the Lord gave me to
write, will call on the Lord with all of the things that concern
you.
