SAVOUR HIM
My husband took me out on my birthday to dinner.
They had a salad I had never eaten before.
When I got my meal the salad looked really good.
I took a bite and just let it stay in my mouth so I could savour the
taste.
I didn't think that the cook would give me the recipe.
By the time I finished it I pretty well knew all the ingrediance.
I looked up the word savour.
It means to delight in.
How many of us savour in the Lord.
To find all the ways of the Lord.
What are all the ingrediances that make up our Lord.
Love is the first thing.
Savour the love of the Lord.
Let your whole being feel the love that fills us.
Then there is peace of the Lord.
A peace you will find only in the Lord.
Man tries to give us a peace with tranquilizers.
But there is no peace there.
Just another lie.
The next thing is hope.
The Lord watches over us and make sure that the world does not
drag us down.
He has built us a mansion to live in when He calls us home.
He sends the sunshine when our days seem to be too dark.
If we are in need of anything food, clothes, or a place to stay He will
make it happen by sending someone into our lives that will
help with your needs.
So savour the hope in the Lord.
The Lord will also give us faith.
Without faith salvation would not be possible.
By grace we are saved through faith.
Faith that will help us through lifes trials and tribulations.
You know that the Lord is with you.
There is so much more.
Spending time with the Lord just one on one.
While He teaches us the lessons needed to ful fill the plan for our lives.
When we are down or hurting we can go to Jesus and He will comfort
you.
When you are happy you can go to Jesus and praise Him for the joy
you are feeling.
When you are sick you can go to Jesus and He will heal you.
Sometimes it is an instant healing.
Other times you will heal and the pain will decrease and be healed in
less time than doctors will believe.
When you are lonely just call on Jesus and He will fill the void you are
feeling.
When you are grieving He will give you a peace of mind.
No matter what situation you are in Jesus will be there for you.
So delight in the Lord.
Savour the time with Him.
The Lord wants us to turn to Him where ever we are or what we are
doing.
You will bless Him when you delight in His presence.
He loves us so much.
For us to go to Him in all things is what we need to do.
To savour our time with Him.
My prayer is that these words the Lord has given me will help you to
realize how great the Lord is.
That you don't just take Him for granite.
