SOUPS ON
Christmas is over till next year.
The new year has started.
With the cold weather we look for foods that will take the chill out of
our bones.
When you go out side you feel like you are cold to the bone.
At our house soup is something that helps.
But always home made soups.
With the home made soup the love goes into it.
Yeah you could open a can of soup but there is no love in opening up
a can of soup.
Today its turkey soup since turkey was on the menue for Christmas
dinner.
First I boil all the meat off the bones that I had frozen after Christmas
dinner.
Then I cut up celery, carrots, onions, broccoli and what ever kind of
vegetable I have to put in the soup.
Then I add the spices.
Then the soup simmers on the stove for 3 hours at least so all the
flavors work togethger and blend.
I know what goes into homemade foods.
But I have no idea what goes into a can of soup.
It might take longer but it is worth all the work and time put into the
homemade.
God does the same for His children.
First He finds the right person to witness to you about the good news
that Jesus saves and by grace you are saved through faith that
He gives us.
Your sins are forgiven.
All you have to do is listen and want to live a different life than you
are living now.
You ask Jesus into your heart and by grace your sins are forgiven and
they are forgoten forever.
You recieve the faith as you are listening and find the hope for a
better life you have been seeking.
You will find that you are a new person.
That is why they call it being born again.
But God has a plan for all of His children.
At first He cuddles us and teaches us what we need to know to fulfill
the plan He has for our lives.
He puts the best of everything in us.
Gods love, peace, joy, hope, and faith fill our hearts, minds, and souls.
As we grow in the Lord we notice that He has been answering our
prayers and blessing us even before we ask sometimes.
God knows what we will need tomorrow and everyday after that.
While we were living by the worlds standards we had no hope.
We had no peace in our lives because they were always in turmoil.
We had little faith in anything or anyone because we had been let
down too many times throughout our lives.
We loved people but so many times we were badly hurt by the ones
we loved.
We had very little joy and when we did something came up and
squashed it.
Any time you even think about walking away from the Lord just think
what kind of a life you had before you asked Jesus into your heart.
As long as you are walking in the way of the Lord He will help you
through any problem you are having.
One important thing to remember is when you are going through a
storm sometimes He will calm the storm.
Sometimes He will calm the storm in you and give you peace while the
storm rages around you.
Keep your eyes on the Lord and pray that you will stay in His will.
I asked a sister in the Lord one day, how do we know if we are in the
Lords will.
She told me that if your life seems to be spinning out of control you
are probably not in the Lords will.
But if you are at peace no matter what is going on around you, you
are probably in the Lords will.
That has helped me so many times when I have been in a time when
my prayers did not seem to be heard.
As you can see the Lord gives us the very best of everything that
matters.
Just like the homemade soup that gets all the best ingrediants and
simmered for a long time.
The Lord will teach us and test us to make sure we have learned the
life lessons He has been teaching us.
Just let the Lord put all the best things in you.
You won't regret staying in the will of God.
Let God prepare you with loving care for the days ahead.
My prayer is that all who read these words, the Lord gave me, will
walk in the way of the Lord and charrish the time you will have
with Him as He lovingly prepares you for the days ahead.
God bless you and your family, may the Lord keep you close to Him.
PRAISE GOD THE FATHER, JESUS OUR SAVIOR, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
THAT LIVES WITHIN ALL CHRISTIANS.
