TAKE CARE OF THE BABIES
Can you imagine hearing a story on the news about a mother who had
just given birth to a baby and she took the baby home the next
day.
She put the baby to bed and went to sleep herself.
The next morning the alarm goes off and mom gets up feeds the
baby and put clean clothes on the baby.
Then mom puts baby back to bed.
Mom puts a box of snack crackers in bed with the baby.
Then mom gets ready for work and heads out.
That evening when she gets home from work the police are there.
Mom tells them she didn't do anything wrong because she left food in
the crib for the baby to eat while she was at work.
You would be out raged at the ignorance of that new mother leaving
a baby home alone with a box of crackers for that 2 day old
baby.
You would probably say she belongs behind bars for neglecting that
baby.
In any case you would think she needed to be punished.
That is exactly what the churches are doing.
A person goes to the altar and asks Jesus into their heart.
So what do the churches do but hand them a pamplet and push them
back out into the world.
Nobody calls to check on them.
Nobody gives them a Bible and has a Bible study for the babies.
They tell them to come back to church.
But do they do it for the right reasons?
They want th numbers and the money that comes with that person.
It is the responsibility of the group to feed and nurture the babies.
You help them with scriptures that are easy to understand.
You don't tell the babies to read Revelations.
God is getting angry because we are neglecting the babies.
As they grow you give them scriptures that they will understand after
learning the basics.
You cuddle the babies.
Give them more attention so they will continue to walk in the ways of
the Lord.
Make sure they have the phone numbers of the more mature
Christians so if they need help they have someone who they can
talk to.
A young Christian is so vulnerable to the attacks from the enemy.
As a young Christian the enemy told me I was just like Judas and God
didn't want me.
I didn't have anyone to talk to so I put my Bible down and I walked
away from the Lord.
It took me 3 years to come back to the Lord.
That is when someone told me that it had been the enemy not the
Lord who had spoken those words to me.
So you see I know first hand how important it is to help the babies
when they come under attack.
God holds the mature brothers and sisters responsible for the babies
that are born in your group.
My prayer is who ever read these words, the Lord gave me, will help
all the baby Christians to understand and help them when they
have a need and to help them grow in the Lord.
